About this role
We are looking Assistant Manager Transport to oversee transport operations. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising the full fleet, vehicle assets, drivers, and schedules to guarantee safe, punctual, and economical transportation services.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day activities of all vehicles and driving personnel.
Design, refine, and supervise routes to improve efficiency and timeliness.
Allocate shifts and duties to drivers; enforce company policies and procedures.
Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs, inspections, and minimize downtime.
Uphold safety protocols, verify driver certifications, and ensure legal compliance.
Monitor fuel consumption, control costs, and support transport budgeting.
Liaise with procurement for replacements, spares, and parts sourcing.
