About this role
The Head of Production for the Foods section is responsible for leading and managing end-to-end manufacturing operations across multiple product categories, including Retail Foods, Bakery, Dairy, Ice cream, Confectionery, Snacks, and Biscuits. The role ensures efficient production planning, consistent product quality, adherence to food safety standards, and cost-effective operations while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement production schedules, manage daily operations, and ensure timely delivery of products, including Retail Foods, Bakery (Snacks, Biscuits, Cakes), Dairy, Ice cream, and Confectionery.
Oversee the baking process, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all baked goods.
Manage ingredient sourcing, storage, and inventory levels, minimizing waste and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Supervise, train, and mentor baking staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Identify areas for improvement in production processes, implementing changes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
Contribute to the development and management of the production budget, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
